Stomp! Roar! Run! Mimi the Muttaburrasauraus (pretty proud that I spelled that right on my first go!) is the centerpiece of this beautiful park in Yarraville. Use the nets to climb into Mimi’s belly and slide down her tail! A process that Mr 2 was happy to repeat over and over again. Mimi is loads of fun, we were there when the park had just opened and it was pretty crowded and there isn’t much else in the way of playground equipment, but if you bring your bikes or scooters, there are some wonderful bike paths around the neighboring Cruickshank Park, which also has its own playground.

I never use age as a measure of if a park is suitable- because every child is different. With this particular playground- climbing confidence would be a good indication- although Mr 2 wasn’t great with nets at the time we visited, his eagerness to explore Mimi saw his ability improve with each attempt and he really loved it!
