Albert Park Lake

 

Albert Park is one of my favourite places in Melbourne. Home of the Australian Grand Prix in March and many other events throughout the year, the park, with it’s beautiful walking trails, playgrounds and ample metered parking there’s nothing not to love. Being only 5 km from the CBD, the view of our beautiful city is one of the main reasons I would detour through the park on my way home from work. I didn’t even mind having to stop for swans crossing the road.

 

The park is always a hive of activity, popular with runners who are drawn to the park for it’s 5km walking trail. It is the home of the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre, numerous restaurants and venues, and our family favourite- the Middle Park Community Playground
