It's Royal Melbourne Show time!
September 19, 2016
'It was the best in the universe!' Said Mr almost 5 as we left the show this evening and he wasn't even joking.
Where do I start? Parking?
There is parking at the show, at the local primary school and in some random people's front yard sometimes! There are gates on Epsom Rd, Langs Rd and via the car park as well as access via the train station.
Here are a few tips for a well executed day out.
Tip 1: plan your day. There is so much to see and do, it's a good idea to know when the various shows are on so you can work the other activities around them. The boys would have loved the Looney Toons show on at 11 and 12.30, but we didn't arrive until 3pm. We also left before the fireworks at 8.15.
Tip 2: have a good look around at the rides before you take up a multi-ticket discount offer - the rides are run by different operators so make sure that you're getting the right
amount of tickets for the right rides.
Tip 3: there are so many things that you can do for free, you just need to look out for them- there's colouring in, the animal nursery (my fave!) loads of shows including the Looney Tunes, performers including Anthony Callea, Jessica Mauboy, fireworks & much more, check it out here.
